oil light, stuttering,b20vtec!!?? help please
Hey ht I got a question what's wrong with my car?.... I have a 97 ekhatch with a b20vtec iam running it off a chipped p72.
Well I drove it today and it was stuttering in low rpm, then it wouldn't rev past 4 and the oil light would come on for a second then dissapear. Wtf is going on?? Any advice will help thanks

ok well i reset the ecu and stuttering went away. but the oil light filckers when iam downshifting or am at idle. but goes away when i press the gas

ya the oil sending unit on the back of the block is just a dummy light. im confused on how the light isnt on at all times.
do you have a oil pressure gauge? if not i would invest in one. see what it is. if it seems low i would probably change oil pump.
what kind of oil what weight and what filter are you using???

well its not good when the light comes on cause i wanna say its trigered to come on when u only have like 7psi of oil pressure. but yours isnt plugged in.
i would either get a oil pressure gauge and see where your at on psi at all times(which can never hurt), or you can blindly start throwing money at it starting with the oil pump.
