So for no reason, that I can tell, i've started getting water leaking into the car on the driver's side. I can't find where it's coming in (i think behind the black rubber behind the pedals) but when the car sits for a while after a rain shower there is a strong damp smell in the car. Strongest in the driver's area near the pedals.

Does anyone have any ideas about where it might be coming in? Perhaps through where the air comes in when the a/c isn't on circulation? Also, I don't have to have been driving the vehicle for the smell to become apparent.

check your drainage in front of the windshield. make sure its not clogged.

check your grommets... pull back the carpet if you haven't already. feel the firewall. is the padding moist?

i had a leak too but the dealers fixed it after a couple of visits.

 

Yeah, I just dynamated the cabin, so while the carpet was up i felt around...but it was pretty cold so i couldn't tell the difference between if the metal and rubber was cold or if it was wet .

I'll check all the drainage routes, though. Thanks
