I was wondering what the engine code (or whatever it is) is for the Honda Integra Type-R? I was told that it is B16A2. And if it isn't then what is the B16A2 out of and what is the difference between B16A and A2.

The B16A2 I believe, is the motor in the previous gen Civic Si(R).
The B16A was the engine in the JDM EF and EG Civics.
The B16B was in the CTR.

b16a - any jdm b16, could be 88-91 92-96 99+
b16a3 - usdm del sol 92-95?
b16a2 99-2001 Si
b18c5 - USDM ITR
b16b - JDM CTR
b18c1 - USDM GSR
b18c - could be jdm GSR or jdm ITR

 

I was reading in a Super Street and it said that below where it says B16A2 there is a number and if it starts with a 5 then it's a Civic motor,but if it starts with a 1 then it's an Integra motor. Can anybody explain this or is Super Street wrong. Mine starts with a 1.

And I don't know about that super street stuff. Theses are the engine codes I'm aware of

 

its the diffrence between first and second gen b16a's (JDM)
if the block number (below the code) start with a 1,xxx,xxx its from a teggy its a first gen motor.
if it starts with a 5,xxx,xxx its from the SiRII and its a second gen motor.

 

what motor did the 1996 del sol vtecs have? Is it still b16a3 even tho its obd2? Not important, just wondering

nope it was still obdI (im 99% on this)
they never changed the SOL to obdII
