thanks for looking first off, here is the problem, i pull the latch under the dash to open my hood but the cable is loose and will not open the hood. i even went under the fender to pull the cable with my hands and still no luck. i'm no small guy, so i know it's not lack of pulling effort. please help if you can and thanks again for looking!
the cable on my ej is always loose, even since the replacement.
worse case i just jack the front end up and trip the latch
then you just need to find a better way to get your hood open lol
hope that helps

the wire tubing pry cracked which is why it feels loose...but you want the wire to be tight...it happened to me...you will have to most likely take off your grill and pull yje wire on the latch with a set of needle nose pliers...and either get yourself a new hood release cable or fix the old one...depending on how bad it may be..
On my EF I had to push down on the hood near the emblem/driver's side headlight with my left hand and reach in and pull the hood release latch. Try doing that. Hahaha.
Oh, and don't PULL your grill out. It's screwed in

on my ej i had to put like a prop so it could hold the hood release up then open the hood it was because it was missing a small spring right on the hood latch hard to see but you can see if it missing or not that could be the prob
