im lookin at buyin a 98 civic hatch and i wanna swap out the engine for a b18c but unsure if it will fit the mounts and everything. or if there is a better engine to swap it out for that will fit also. could anybody help me out real quick with this?

im either gunna buy the 98civic for round 1500 or im lookin at a 95 civic sedan for the swap. any roccomendations?

 

Yes the mounts line up fine. perfect swap for a 98 hatch

 

if u were to swap out the d series for a b series then you will need 99-00 SI timing belt side mount+bracket and the 99-00 rear L bracket

theres a link at the top of the forum that addresses engine swaps, why not go look at it?

im saying you have to use both D-series mounts AND B-series mounts in order for it to work.

Im saying for the most part everything lines up unlike the K series. Theres enough posts and information on this site that we dont need to go into detail about what needs to be changed out.

and id hope anyone serious enough to do a swap would do full research on everything that is needed to do it anyway.
