Default splash guard vs snow

so yea, frozen snow tore my splash guard in half but its still on..kind of just tucked it under. its not scratching, or anything, but was wondering if anyone has used this skid/cooling plate -

http://www.kamispeed.com/produ...00bd3

wondering if it'd be worth it to buy that or just replace the OEM splash guard

Just ask yourself these two questions:

1.) what the hell is that going to do for your car aside from nothing at all (nobody I know runs the center splash guard on their Civic)

2.) do you want to have to take that off every time you do something like change your oil?

If you can make those decisions, do what you want

there seems to be a hole on the plate, is that like a cut out for the oil drain plug?

not sure, im not going to get it..i didnt even take into account of the pain in the *** it would be to have to take that off every time to change my oil...just figured it would be a bit better to have under there so you dont scrape anything.
