JDM ITR Tranny
I was just wondering what a JDM ITR tranny tops out at for speed
i was to purchase one for my gsr because of the 4.7 final drive and lsd but i also want the top end speed

Shouldnt be much different then USDM. Ive had my ITR up to 150...id guess the JDM would be arond 140-145?? just a guess but ive heard its really not that different as far as top speed goes. plus youll probably get to top speed a little bit faster
The overall final drive in the JDM tranny in 5th gear is about the same. The 5th gear on the ITR tranny is longer (.787) than the 5th in the USDM tranny (.848). I've done the math, and it pretty much cancels out the difference between the FD ratios.
.787 x 4.785 = 3.77:1
.848 x 4.40 = 3.73:1
So if you could get 150 mph out of the USDM tranny, at the same RPM using the JDM tranny you would be going 148.41 mph.
Now if you put it into your GSR tranny (as I see you want to do) 150 mph with the USDM FD (4.4) would give you 137.93 mph with the 4.785 FD (assuming no other changes to the tranny).
