-Installing a J's racing air duct on an EG-

So I tried to mount my J's air duct onto my bumper and it fitted perfect but once I tried to mount my bumper on the air duct's shaft in the back would not clear the bumper reinforcement. Question is do I have to remove my reinforcement or would I have to cut a part of the shaft? Either or I don't want to cut the air duct and two I don't want to remove the reinforcement because it'll make my bumper sag. Any tips from people who's already done it?

Sorry of this is a stupid question but is there way to stick it in while the bumper is on the car?

Yeah there is but like I said the bumper reinforcement is like blocking 1/4 of the passage way.

uhhh... remove tire, pull splash guard back?

just cut the reinforcement? Seems like the easiest way to keep everything to me. Cutting the duct would sort of defeat the purpose.

Yeah that's what I was thinking but then that would have to mean me either painting or primering the reinforcement so it doesn't cause rust.

I think he was trying to get to the idea that perhaps there is a way to make it fit while it's on the car instead. That way you don't have to worry about mounting the duct on the bumper just to have it hit the reinforcement.

I don't think he was trying to say that it'd be easier to do with the bumper on because you dont' haev to take the bumper off the car.
