It will be a miracle if I get this car to the track this weekend. We are probably going to just have to reuse the old gasket but I figured I would try. The parts supplier in town that supposedly had one was mistaken. The car was misfiring so bad last night that we ended up having to pull the head and replace two exhaust valves. More Honda Challenge pre-race chaos.

Somebody could probably meet you at the track Friday evening with one... worse case.

Surely some parts place in Durham has one in stock. Surely they do.

 

ask Krshultz, he is leaving for west va but try to catch him before tomorrow, he may have one laying around. Who knows he has a ton of junk in the garage, and he lives in NC. Good luck. There are others on here that are from NC, just give it some time they will pop up.

 

IM me if you need one at the track. I am pretty sure the Acura dealer down the street stocks them.

 

Scott, can you email me Karl's phone number? He called me the other day but I forgot to program his number in my mobile phone. We have called all over Raleigh and Durham with no success. I think we will just reuse the gasket rather than try to reassemble the car at the track.

Call a dealer...

 

Nevermind. I just called the shop and they already have the motor back together with the used gasket. I will just cross my fingers and hope the gasket holds. We called every known Honda/Acura dealer, parts supplier, repair shops, local performance shops etc in the Raleigh/Durham area. Adam found one in Charlotte but again the guys at the shop and I were up to 11pm last night working on the car and I don't think they want to pull that again tonight. It should hold. I hope.

 

Still, try to get hold of another... So we can swap it if it blows...
