me & a friend swap in a d15b7 in his 94 VX & used a ex motor harness & 02 sensor.
It will start & run for a few sec's & die!
is it ok to use the 4 wire 02 or would i have to use the 5 wire that came in the vx's? im just not sure if it my problem or not.

 

I think you use which ever one works the the motors harness, you just swapped, so whatever the d15b7 is supposed to have use that. When i swapped my motor from a d15 to d16 i forgot to plug the iacv in and it died like that.

 

What ecu?

 

we are using a dx ecu

 

do u think a cloged fuel filter would cause this ?

 

what about a vtec dizzy on a non vtec?

 

any sugestions ?

 

Did you hook up the iacv, possibly mixed the tps and map connections.

 

yes i've checked that a few times.
i've changed out everything & it still does the same thing.
fuel pump,spark plugs & wires,dizzy, fuel regulator fuel filter, map sensor, ecu, main relay, grounds, injectors.

; the vx has 2 extra plugs that my 2 dx's dont have. one is on the pass side where the motor harness connects to the body harness, & the other on the pass side by the brake booster.
any1 know what these are?
