Synthetic oil is designed for high-tolerance engines (meaning high-performance). You can get by using standard oil.

you mentioned your cars a 7thgen LX already. Your really going to buy motor oil from the 99 cents store? come on now...You can get conventional motor oil for a couple of more bucks. seriously, if you go cheap on a car, your going to pay for it.

You should have an Owner's Manual. I suggest reading it.

SAE 5W20 conventional will be fine. Takes like 3.2-3.5 quarts if I remember correctly.

The oil capacity is 4.4 quarts, dry. But when doing a change put 3.4 quarts into the car.
