well let me start off by saying im hardly on this page but after getting help here on firing order for the spark plugs I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! anywho i have a start up issue, everymorning when i go to turn on my carro i crank it but it takes for ever to turn over, when it does its really weak and it cuts off i have to keep cranking it until its get enough of me maybe 5 to 7 cranks just to get it on and stay on. now once its on i can go over to a buddys house maybe 10 miles away get to his house and hang out for maybe 15 or 20 min go to the car and it turns on smoothly. what could it be has anyone had this issue? i was thinking it might be my starter or maybe my dizzy?

 

check your battery. could be drained and then after you drive your car the alternator charges your batterty... check your battery terminals for corrosion to.

 

couldent i go to a auto part store and let me recharge it for me for free? or do i have to get a new battery?

 

i have the exact same problem. ill go get my battery tested tomorrow and see if thats it. i thought my car just hated the cold LOL!

 

i wont get mine tested until sat because i got school and work all day tomorrow and Saturday i get off around 3 or 4 so il be good to go then keep us posted. i hope this is our issue. i ended up buying NGK spak plugs and still had the problem!! this sucks because im going to get a remote start up for the hatch and i need this problem fixed so i dont have to keep pressing the button over and over again to crank the car lol
