Default ITR Wheel Wobble

When my ITR is going in a straight line, at about 90 i can feel a slight wobble through the steering wheel and there seems to be a bit of play between left and right(if you see what i mean).

I have had the wheels balanced twice which hasnt sorted it. What else should I check? Does tracking have to be checked on these vehicles?

I have had the car for well over and year and it never used to do this.

I thought I would post here as maybe someone has had a similar problem although i know it is vague, maybe certain bushes need checking after a certain amount of time or track rod ends?

She has done 67000kms.

Sorry if the terminology is slightly different but I am in the UK.

Better check your wheel bearings and balljoints asap. Don't speed til you get it fixed.

Well I ve checked all four wheels and there is no play in any of them.

Ive checked the balljoints and all other suspensions joints and there doesnt seem to be any play in anything.

The only thing i noticed was the anti roll bar bushes one of them looked like it had split but the otherside was exactly the same - I dont know if they are meant to have a 'break' in them??

I had the same problem one year ago.

In my situation it was a combination of 2 problems. The back wheels were not balanced but i assumed the problem at the frontwheels because they were new. After 3 tries of balancing the problem was gone. The first 2 times the dealer did it not 100% but it would not have had an effect, even if not the rear wheels had had
an error
The rear wheels where unbalanced and the rim had an radial run-out. Everything alone, no problem, but in combinations

Is your car lowered? if so maybe you have some camber issues and an alignment will hopefully solve that.

Edit...assuming you have a camber kit and can adjust your camber. if not you can straighten it out, but youll be rollin on the inside of the wheels.

So your back wheels made your fronts feel out of balance? I ll get them rebalanced then when i get it aligned.

My car isnt lowered and has no camber kit on it. I can still get tracking done thou cant I ? - as they will just adjust the track rod ends.

When you say alignment is that tracking or different?

After everyones advice yesterday, and after checking suspension I took my car to the garage today and asked them to do the tracking and balance the rear wheels as well as check the fronts again(they balanced them on monday!)

When I went back to pick my car they told me and one front wheel was out of balance by 15 and a back one was out by 65, and the tracking was out of alignment and they had corrected everything - they also told me that they had straightened my steering wheel out for me.

I have had a good drive back from work and i dont get any wheel wobble and she feels sweet again!

but!

but my steering wheel is ever so slightly out. Can i rectify this myself? Is there a hub nut under that momo steering wheel or is there something further down the column where I can adjust it? by the way this is a JDM 96 Car so I have no airbag to worry about going off!

Help Appreciated!

yes, I believe it's 19mm hex-nut, if my memory serves me correct.
