Best way/tool to remove cracked lugnut?
I figured this would be the best place to ask a tooling related question...
Went to change brakes on my mom's 97 Landcruiser and stripped the Mcguard lug nut key as well as cracked off a piece of the locking lug. (Dumb, yes. I know) I've already bought 4 normal lugs as I don't believe that stock Landcruiser wheels are exactly a hot theft commodity; what would be the best way to remove the locking lug that's missing a bit under 1/4 of its surface that interlocks with the key? Nuts for this u-boat are 21mm; I've heard of a kit Sears sells but I was looking for some feedback and am wondering if those extractors will fit in the hole of the wheel...Any input is appreciated; I hate working on this car so much...(Loves to eat brakes much too frequently)

Find a socket that's just a bit too small and hammer the **** out of it on over the locking lug. Now impact that pupster off!

Thanks! I'll probably end up buying that if all else fails; its a pita that the locking nuts are completely round with not much other than a smooth surface to grab onto.

much easier to just force a slightly smaller socket on there. works every time... and only takes 2 minutes!!
