I'm installing a cd player on my cousin's 92 hatch. I'm trying to take off the two screws that hold the tape deck in place (the two screws underneath the tape deck) and it seems like they're stripped. they just keep spinning and spinning. any tips for getting them out?

 

i have never taken screws out from beneath the deck.

are you talking about the ones that hold the bottom trim with the pocket in place?

if so just pull them down while you turn.

 

Using a rotary tool, cut a straight line in it for a flat-head screwdriver. Had to do this on a couple rusty bolts last weekend!
