turbo inlet and outlet

Default turbo inlet and outlet

im looking to buy a t3/t4 turbo is it better for the inlet to be bigger then outlet or viceversa help? i have a b-series motor on stock internals looking to boost like 8-10 pounds and looking to make like 250+ whp on a good tune

You're thinking about things that have really no relevance to what you need to worry about. Pick a turbo with a flow rate that matches your engine and will meet your power goals. In your case a T3/T04E 50 trim would be a good turbo. It'd hit your goal of 250whp...the pressure goal doesn't mean anything so disregard that kind of thinking....

whta do u mean flow rate?

How much air the turbo moves at a given pressure ratio. The inlet/outlet size will have an effect on it, but you needn't be concerned with the engineering aspect of it. What are your exact goals and what do you plan to use the car for?

i want it for daily driving and im looking to make 250 or a lil more

I would go with something in the range of a T3/T04e 50 trim to a 57trim. If that's all you plan to make in the long run, you could opt for the T3 Super60. That would be a quick spooling turbo and great for the low end torque on the street
