Car takes several cranks for it to start up when not driven for awhile.. tips?
well recently my cars been taking alot of priming before it starts..sometimes i gotta let go and do it again and it will start... possible problems? i was thinking my spark plugs are getting kinda old... could that be it? or maybe the starter
wait a few seconds for the fuel pump to pressurize the lines before turning it over...
also when fuel is low.. this will help.

Actually holding it to the floor won't help. When the ECU detects WOT while your cranking it, it will not fire the injectors. This is why in the manual it says if the car is flooded to put your foot on the floor and crank it over. It won't fire anymore fuel into a floodded engine.
It sounds like he may have a clogged fuel filter or his fuel pump is getting lazy.

try pressing the gas pedal half way..If that doesn't work right away, hold to the floor.

your fuel line will lose pressure over the corse of a few days, or a shorter period of time, it takes a few seconds for the fuel pump to pressurise the line so that you have enough pressure to push out of your injectors at the proper velocity for atomization.
just turn your key to the start position and then push in your clutch, this will be more than enough time for it to prime, and will keep your starter from having to work too hard, thus increasing the life of it.
