Default Can someone confirm that my TRANNY is broken or not??

Here's a photo that I got off of google. So its not my car.

In the photo the red circle is the place of the shiftlinkage/tranny that I will be talking about.

MY tranny won't shift into gears, its not a burnt clutch. The problem is that the little knuckle POPPED out that the shift linkage connects to. The cotter pin IS still in place. The shift linkage is still connected.

SO basically from the red circle everything (knuckle, shift linkage, cotter pin) shifts RIGHT and the whole assembly popped out of the tranny.

Is it broken?? Or is there a fix??

Thanks for the help in advanced.

pop the housing off and take a look inside, the rod that popped out is connected to the change holder mechanisim and its not supposed to not pop out. I could be a simple fix or it could be a very labor intensive repair, theres only one way to tell. Grap a helm manual and do work son.
