Well, I just bought a 4Dr integra for $300.00 now looking to start fresh as a project car. Only concern is weight of car. I've been reading and searching for the last three days trying to get a good idea of what I should put in. I'm leaning more towards fully built B18B. Bought a B18B long block for $800.00 Now Just need some suggestions on what would be a good set up for a 4DR. Any help would be appreciated...

 

Some might say LS/VTEC, and most will say boost...

Get your block built, look for a head, and boost that bish!!!

The only reason I dont want to Go Ls Vtec is because I dont trust any of the shops where I am to get that ish done. I know SOHC motors like the back of my hand but DOHC are a bit different and I dont want to mess something up trying to build something like that. plus i'm working with a $2,500.00 buget right now. Prices are not cheap for a B16 or GSR head where I am unless you find it on the streets and odds are it's messed up.

 

for that much, you could get a good used greddy kit with a tune.

 

Still trying to find a good place to buy all the parts I need for this LS Build. Any help on a good place with good prices would be a big help. Looking for the following parts.

*Lightwieght Crankshaft.
*Rods & pistons
*Main bearings
*Pistons
*Entire Valvetrain
*Performance intake manifold
*Gasket sets
*cam gears
*ARP rod bolts
*ARP head studs
*Turbo set up capable of 18PSI
*Turbo timer
*and chipped LS ECU

Any help for good prices and a good place to buy would be highly appreciated

Stop going by PSI. It does not matter.

You need to have a HP goal.

You keep saying 4dr like it matters. I'll let you in on a little secret.....4drs have the same drivetrain as 2drs.

 

Well, im aiming at 320HP... I know that the drivetrain is the same its just where I live everyone refers to a 4dr as a 4dr. Not an integra ls or whatever if it has 4dr out here you refer to it that way. So I got use to it.

Look into the gt series. With 320 as your goal, you could get a turbo that hits full boost around 3k-3.5k

 

$2500 is a decent amount to start with. why not check online for a b16, or a gsr swap, there are all kinds of companies that sell them. i wouldn't worry about local, try, http://www.tigerjapanese.com, they always have swaps for sale. 4dr=

if u can get a hold of a gsr i would do it but if nothin else do the ls

 

I wanna run non-VTec. I dont like the whole thing of DOHC VTec. I know everything to build a SOHC VTec but not DOHC. everyone out here is running GSRs, B16s, H22's and all that. I want my ish to be different. That's why im leaing on the Built LS boost.
