how do you adjust fuel pressure?

I got the fuel pressure gauge and the adjustable regulator, but how do you adjust it? Im thinking its running rich cause i get carbon flakes on my bumper. any one else ran into this?

What kind of regulator, and what is your current fuel pressure?

its a " no brand" and the pressure is at 29-30 psi at idle

Can you post a photo? And are you measuring the pressure with the vacuum hose disconnected?

what car/engine?

as padawan said, fuel pressure must be measured at ambient pressure (with vaccum hose removed from FPR)

factory specs:
LS engines are typically ~42psi. GSR/ITR is slightly higher at ~50psi.

no photo. but the vacuums are disconnected. the only air hoses i got connected are the IAC valve hose. I dont know where the other ones go

I got a 94 GS-R in my DA with the 99 GS-r distributor.
