SOHC VTEC REV LIMIT?
I GOT D15B DUAL VTEC MOTOR IN MY COUPE I JUST FINISHED PUTTING IN AN LSD TRANS ON IT AND NOW I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING BOUT THE ECU. I HAVE A STOCK PO6 WITH THE OBD2 TO OBD1 HARNESS. BUT WHAT IM WONDERING IS WAT REV LIMIT SHOULD I SET THE ECU TO? AN EX IS STARTS REDLINE AT 7000 MINE CUTS AT SEVEN NOW AND IT WANTS MORE BUT ITS STOCK I DONT WANNA BEND A VALVE

IT USED TO HAVE A LONG GEAR TRANNY ON IT AND WAS A SLUG I JUST PUT THIS TRANNY LAST NIGHT AND IT WAS A NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE, AND THE PO6 CUTS RIGHT AT 7000 SO YEA CHIP HERE I COME, PLUS IM POPPING VTEC WITH A PUSH BUTTON. WHICH SUCKS WHEN YOUR TRYING TO SHIFT AT THE SAME TIME

The redline for that should be like 7200 rpms if you dont have upgraded valvetrain and a cam then its worthless to take it past that seeing as you wont make any more power doing so.

They really don't make any power past 7k..I'd set the rev limiter at 7200 - you should be shifting right b4 the needle hits 7 anyway.
