Has anyone experienced any issues at the emission test after your JDM swap ? One of my friend was telling me that if I swap a B18C-R into my 00 hatchback, I could have some problems during the emission test.

 

is it an OBD2 type r swap???

 

it's a 99 spec ITR but the seller is currently running a OBD1 ( its in the EG )

all itr's are obd2.

you are going to have to run an OBD2 ECU cuz in MD 1996 and up emmissions test is just a quick scan of your ecu....

OK, so to avoid any issues, which OBD2 ecu would you recommend ?

im not really an OBD2 man....philosofy...can i get a hand here please....

 

My guess, an ITR ECU.
