i got a couple issues..first, my car is only overheating when i am on the highway going 70+, but if i slow down the temp goes back down. i've changed my t-stat,checked my fluid n hoses,and also wired my fan so that its always on. what els could it be?

also..i think i am having fuel problems but im not sure. when im on 1st gear going a little past 15mph the car pulls back n shakes. same thing with 2nd gear if i go past 30.

if anyone knows what the hell is going on with my motor any help is appreciated

have someone pressure check your cooling system there could be a slow leak ..did you think about the water pump?? and do you have all the air out of the system? with the car shuttering do you have a CEL?

my buddy had the same problem with his car, he had air in his coolant system.

 

i highly doubt that its the water pump because i feel the coolant circulating in each hose..im not sure if all the air is out of my system because i just baught it about a month ago. thats probably it, ill go do a pressure test . thanks

and about the shuttering..yes i do. it tells me missfire and that engine is running lean. i've changed sparkplugs,wires,cap rota. any idea?

 

CEL = check engine light.

It sounds like your radiator is on its way out. See if you can find any coolant on or around the radiator - especially the plastic endtanks - next time it starts to overheat. Pull over and pop that hood if you have to.
