Default Sport FWD and computer/ecu question

I see the in the general rules it states that computers are not permited, what about modified ecu's? I have a p28 ecu that has an s300 installed in my 00 si. Is this permited? Thanks!

I'm sure they are just referring to delay boxes with throttle stop controllers and such, not engine management..

Another thing it is referencing is that your laptop can't ride in the car for datalogging purposes.

No but you're allowed to run the return line into the cabin, and you can bend it and hold it in your hand like a garden hose to control pressure. Better squeeze it real tight if you're gunna boost it hard!

With all the sarcasm in this thread I'm not sure if you are really asking. No you can't have the laptop in the car, your ECU has to datalog on its own.

im dead serious. they do make mounts for labtops, like Police cars have, so i figured hell, why not....

LOL. before we had a datalogger, that is the only way our DFI would datalog. SpaceBar datalogging FTW although we did not have a mount for the labtop, so that would have been trashed after 1 pass

just get a really long communication cable and hang it out the window. have one of your crew members hold the computer at the starting line and log the pass. unplug the cable and gather up the 2000ft of cord and throw it in the trunk with your parachute.

thats my plan for next year.

I have one of those little Warn winches on my ATV...maybe just use that on the back of the car to reel the cord in???
