Default something bad about to happen??? 2nd gear question..

i notice it's kinda hard trying to shift into 2nd, but i haven't heard a grind or anything. i'm just wondering, will this result in maybe 2nd gear going out or is this normal. it's been cold and i don't know if thats a factor.

I have this problem the FIRST time I shift into 2nd gear on cold days. Try this: without moving, hold the clutch in, shift 1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1-R-1-2-R, then shift back into 1st, release clutch and go. Let me know if you still have difficulty.

yep being cold makes my second gear do the same thing, i now let my car warm up for a long time before do some driving

but after it warms up then the second gears feels like normal right? just to be on the safe side, u can change ur tranny fluid!

Yes! I didn't mention that. When did you change your tranny fluid last?

So what's your logic behind the 1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1-R-1-2-R? Are you superstitious?

Gets the fluid moving, I guess. It makes the shifting easier on cold days.

I don't know when the fluid was changed. The dealer said it was serviced a week before they brought it into the lot.

I didn't take the car out today, but I'll try johnclaunch on what you were saying. I always have it on neutral at a stop but never play with the gears.

Thanks for the input guys.
