that's a really hard question it depends how much boost what are you tryin to do with the car......a lot of people run both those cams and are very happy with them. i've also seen both of them make over 600hp. one thing to take in to consideration is what you will be reving to. the ctr's will make power up till i believe like 9000 and gsr's are around 8000(i may be wrong but you get what i'm sayin) also like a turbo cam. it has high lift short dur. but a lot of people say a mild all motor cam will work better for boost. i'd run what you got and switch them out if your not happy.

Stock B series Vtec cams are as follows:

ITR/CTR > GSR > B16

People regularly see gains of 15+whp on a ~300whp turbo car when they switch from GSR to ITR/CTR cams. They are definitely worth the money to upgrade.

lol...to a point. I wouldnt go swapping in some MazWorks cams into a stock block ~300whp car, but as far as OEM goes, you have a point

Maybe this might help you a little. A little proof or comparison between regular b16 cams and gsr cams.

ctr/itr cams have been proven with boost to work fine with boosted setups with gains over gsr cams

Your probably right, I don't know, however I do know it will probably be easier and faster to find gsr cams then ctr/itr oh and alot cheaper. What I liked about the gs-r cams was that you got more power with less boost. Yeah, 1 psi is not a lot of difference, but one psi less is less work on the engine and you get noticable gains of up to 30 hp pending on your tuner. That works for me man. That's what i'm gonna use. Right now I'm just saving money so I can buy a real air/fuel meter, and to get my car tuned on a dyno.
