Which Drill Press for Hobbyist?
Do anyone have a recommandation for a drill press for a hobbyist? I don't use my tools daily, but I would like something that isn't going to fall apart on me. I'm looking for a floor mounted drill press.
Also, I've been considering saving up and just getting a knee mill. What would I look for a good quality used knee mill? I'm interested in a manual mill.
Regards,
Justin

I have a Grizzly drill press and it's a piece of junk. I'll give it to anyone looking to drill rounded triangles.
You should just buy a used manual milling machine. Even if all you do is use it to drill, you cannot go wrong. Drill presses are weak, inaccurate, and shake while drilling. If you want to drill a half decent hole you need a machine that does not move while drilling. Plus if you do get a mill you can use it to drill holes, ream holes, face flanges, and even make some intricate parts.
Get on eBay and start looking for used manual mills. Click 'distance' to sort locally.

I have a Delta I bought at Lowes, so far it has worked great and I drill with it usually every weekend. I am sure there are nicers ones out there but so far I have had zero complaints plus it fits in a budget with it being a little under $200. Due to space a floor mounted one wasnt a option. I think they offer this same drill in a floor mounted model.

Go with the knee mill for sure. Even one of those gay mill/drill things would be better than most drill presses. I have a decent sized cnc mill, but because its often busy when someone else needs to drill something I think I am going to get a little mill/drill just for drilling holes.
