Default K20Z3 Launching

What rpm do u suggest we launch at with the k20 si motor?.. is 45k to 5k too high.. Should we shirt at redine or at 7400 b/c ive heard that that is a good point but wanted to ask people with experience

when i drove my friends i liked around 4-45k what ever tires come with the the car from the factory!

however i did not like the OEM clutch WAY too soft for my taste of driving lol...

yeah if your on a radial or slick your gonna have to be launching much higher then on a oem spec tire.

Im not sure if theres a stock standing rev limit on SIs like on stock RSXs but my buddy who borrowed my Hondata ECU launched at 6k and had the PSI in his street tires set to 17psi. This has always worked for me, as this was the same PSI i was at in my old prelude and same launch RPM. Its proven to work wiht cars around that 2800lbs weight.

Also if you try this go easy on the clutch and gas while launching, once you feel the wheels catching thats when you floor it.

And shift at stock redline.

Yeah there is a stock standing rpm limit.. Thanks for all the help guys. Ill try a bunch of things out when next season comes around
