i personally stick with Honda MTF. usually it takes about 2.5 qt. you'll know when it's full when it starts pouring out.

besides, filling it from where the VSS sits is "technically" not the right way to fill it, but you should have "read" that too.

your wrong cuz a gsr tranny takes exactly 2.3 quarts ok, and doesnt matter where you fill it from VSS is easier and less messy cuz either way 2.3qtz needs to go in,so doesnt really matter where you fill it up from, i used to fill it threw the other hole and wait till it drips out but now i just put threw vss,and others here will agree that it doesnt matter which hole you fill threw,as long as you get the right amount of fluid

hmm...let me see, i'm wrong because i wait for it to pour out of the fill hole? the way it's supposed to be done. besides, 2.3qt and 2.5qt, is that a huge difference?
tell me, is there a difference on how much fluid to use on a b16 tranny?

dude i said others where wrong cuz they said 3 qtz and like 2.5 the OP wanted to know exactly, which is 2.3!, and it does NOT matter where you fill it up threw, either way is correct buddy,

If you also open the fill hole to allow any excess to drain out and achieve the proper fluid level, yes.
