Default New Acura Owner

Hey guys just entered the Honda scene. Bought a 1994 Integra DB7 (4-door) with 150k mile on it. 5 speed. It's Hunter Green and is 100% stock right now. I'm kinda leaning towards the suspension/handling side of the car compared with performance as I already have a car I race around. Just wondering if strut bars/shock tower braces are a good investment or now. How are some of the cheap ones on ebay compared to the more expensive brands

My other question is about MPG. I got 23.2 firs time out driving stick with 3/4 hwy and 1/4 city. Just wondering if this is normal or a tad low.

those strut bars/braces seem like a waste of money to me.

look into shocks/springs and a rear sway bar to improve your handling
hit that search button and read up.

23 seems pretty low for mostly hwy driving, depending on how fast your driving around town.

Got ya on the strut bar stuff. I was driving about 80-85mph on the highway and I guess alot of 40-45mph around town.

If you have another car you "race around", why even do anything to this one?

Have a nice stock DD

Yeah I think thats exactly what I should do. My other car is only good for striaght lines though. I think I'm going to focus on just making this Integra run 100% for now.

Yeah I am going to try and drive a little better and see what happens. 23mpg doesn't really seem to bad to me.

Jesus the MPG is low. I used to get 30 mpg in my LS in all city driving. On Saturday, I drove 100 city miles in 6 inches of fresh snow, in other words the weather was so bad I had to start in second gear lol, and I still got 22 for the night in my Civic EX, which is rated just 2 mpg better than an LS. Keep the LS stock, and just use the other car to beat on. This is what I have done for years, and like the reliability of DD'ing a stock car

Yeah I think that's exactly what I am going to do. Maybe a few minor extrerior mods or something. Any idea why my mpg would be that low. Maybe a bad 02 sensor it just it's getting old lol
