STRUT BARS QUESTION????
The real question is: Are any strut bars good?
For the price, there is a lot of other things you could do to the car that would actually help with performance (ie: tires, wheels, shocks, springs, swaybars, etc)...

since Ebay doesn't make any strut bars, lets assume you mean the cheap adjustable shock mounted ones that are $20 shipped.
At best they are trash can fodder IMO.
A single peice shock mounted or chassis mounted (like OEM bars) are good.
A single peice shock or chassis mounted three point bar is the best. (cusco or PasswordJDM)
the necessity of the bar depends on the chassis of your car. If it doesn't have a lot of miles or events that would increase the flexing of the chassis itself then the bars are not really needed. But if it's a high mileage or it's been 'used' on more than one occasion ('used' is different than abused) then the bars will help stiffen the weak points in the chassis.
If I were to do it all over, I'd follow OEM.
lower front subframe brace, front upper shock tower brace, rear upper shock tower brace. Then depending on the chassis add a rear lower subframe reinforcement and if I felt like it a front upper three point strut bar.
