Default How do you tell if it's "really" a short geared trans?

Anyone know how to figure it out? i just bought a b16 cable trans from a guy. Just to be on the safe side...How can you figure out that its really a b16 trans instead of someone just slaping on a s1 or ys1 sticker on it?

s1's came in the jdm b16 but also in the u.s ls's. both have a 4.40 final drive but the ls has longer gearing.
