Default Total NOob Needs help !!

ok im not to fimiliar with all the honda motors and stuff but i've always like 91' Tegs so i bought one that needs to be fixed up mostly tranny work..heres the quesion i want to ask ..i wanna kno what kind of motor is in the 91 LS bcuz i think my motor has been swapped can sombody post som pics of diff motors thnx!!

take the heat shield off and look by the headers on your bottom block there will be a flat spot with what type of engine you have engraved there it should say b18A1

thats what mines looks like its a 92 but basicaly same deal its not stock tho i have a cold air headers and ngk sparkplug wires.

thnx that helpd alot 2 change the tranny do i have to pull the motor?

i think its been swapped becuz i jus dont look rite like it not supposed to b there ...and becuz wen i bought the car the guy gave me a box of bolts lol

box of bolts? i woulda asked where the hell they came from first... then id be trying to find where they go and put them back...

Get it on some jack stands, see if you have enough clearance to pull it from the bottom or top...

Make sure they are secure, just in case, put something else under your car...

look directy under the valve cover on the left side there should be 3 circle stamps with numbers in them. the first one tells you the last 2 digits of the year it was made.
