find out what time the pistons go to work in the morning, and make sure there's no nosey neighbors around. They'd totally expect you to go through the intake, so I'd go through the oil pan instead. Usually less security on the backdoor. Watch out for vtec.
We are so much help...
don't know the real answer but i remember someone one saying that he didn't rev over 4 or 5k for like 3000 miles.
i'd say just dont beat the hell out of it and you'll be fine

And keep your RPMs varied.

your wrong.... you have to bounce it off the rev limiter till there is aloud pop...

theres no such thing as breakin a motor in... once your clearences are checked on your bearings.. all that needs to seal is your rings which will happen once its running...
start up motor check for cels, check for leaks, all oil and stuff is good.... drive it around ensure the map is proper and enjo your new engine

I agree with Santos, there is no break-in procedure at all. All you have to do is sit the piston rings which happens when there is stress on the internals (aka redline), and your off and running. If you baby it the rings won't seat properly and you end up with dirty internals and worse performance.
I am sure there are a lot of people that disagree, but take apart a motorcycle engine and a car engine with similar mileage and see which is cleaner. The motorcycle will be, because what does everyone do the first day they get a new motorcycle? They go f-in nuts on it and by doing that they seat the piston rings.

as long as ring placement is done correctly adn the bearings are set right its good to go
MANY MANY MANY will state otherwise as its their own thing to say 500 miles nothing above 3k etc... thats a crock of **** in my book..... i have seen countless motors leave my garage with the same procedure i stated and no problems.. my dads car runs 9's and it has ZERO break in period.... built turn on, tune RACE.. done deal

Word G-money
The best way to break in an engine is to drive it like it's intended for.

santos may win for technicality, but this post wins for humor/creativity
