d16z6 problems!!!help!!
Okay...I searched and searched and can't find anything on my problem.Okay I have a 93 honda civic ex d16z6 no mods really just a hollowed out cat and cold air intake. First my problem started out as loss of power, not too bad but noticable. Then came the misfiring it mostly happened going down the interstate and WOT about 4 grand and above...so I thought okay new plugs, wires, cap and rotor and done.Nope I was wrong.thing wouldn't start..or it would start and automatically die again.or just not start period.left it sitting there for a couple hours and it started right up drove it up the street didn't die but the stumbling and misfiring was still there...get it about halfway home and it just dies.So I towed it home baffled....thing has 240,00 miles on it so i go out and start my new car search and found a 1995 civic lx which i am the new proud owner of...anyways i wanna get this car running again so i change the fuel filter, seafoamed the intake and took out the injectors kinda cleaned them up a bit.well it ran perfect for about an hour or two and then BAM! problems back! checked the fuel pressure and right within specs...so I'm freaking baffled!!!and no CELS!!!And there is this wierd high pitched buzzing sound coming from the throttle body area..can't figure that out, is that related??!My next thing on the list is top check my timing. oh ya I was messing around with it this evening i was cranking it and it wouldn't start let go of the starter and like 5 seconds later it started running really bad and some black smoke came out of the intake.i don't know...i really don't want to send this car to the junkyard but
.....any help would be very much appreciated!

your cat is the cause. your secondary O2 Sensor is getting funny readings and the ECU is trying to correct the short term fuel trim. put the stock cat on. you may need to change the secondary O2 sensor as well
Have you replaced spark plug wires, and plugs? I know its a funny issue but my month old plug wire went bad in one cylinder, the arc was going to the valve colver instead of the plug causing a misfire. Started as a once in a while thing but went full-time.

thanks guys.i changed plugs wires cap and rotor last week after it started having these problems.last time i changed the timing belt was january when it broke.ran fine the rest of the winter and all summer.i was going to check to see if maybe i didn't put enough tension on the timing belt and it jumped a couple teeth. any ideas about the wierd high pitched buzzing sound coming from the throttle body?or is that normal and i haven't noticed it yet?
