Default one cylinder richer than the other?

i put new ngk plugs in about 100 miles ago and i took them out tonight because im changing my timing belt and i noticed something wierd that i havent noticed before.. the #1 cylinder spark plug is completely black and rich while the other 3 are a normal tan color.

wth?! leaky injector or what?

could be a number of things. check over everthing pertaining to that particular cylinder. valve lash etc....

im trying to think of what though.. nothing has changed and i just noticed it with this past plug change..... i change plugs ALOT. valve lash is all good.

just for a quick check, switch the problem cylinder injector with any other cylinder and fire it up with fresh plugs. Pull em and you will see if it the injector is your issue.

what ecu are you running?

thought about doing that..

maybe im just really **** and nothing is wrong? or maybe not..

hondata s300... and all individual cylinder fuel trim is at 0%

well i do get ignition break around 8000rpms sometimes..not that often and its not too bad..

my ngk blues are mint and so is my cap and rotor... brand new ngk irridium 8's

how do you test that without have them flow tested? just take the rail out with injectors still in there and get pressure in the system and see if one drips ?

I had the exact problem that is described here and did this as miller suggests. It showed the injector was bad. I just bought all new larger injectors and it went away (obviously)
