Default door locks freeze

my driver side door lock freezes when it gets cold and I cannot not unlock/open it, so I must go through the drivers side when this happens. Im thinking maybe WD-40 or a oil/grease of sorts should take care of the problem. but I wanted to see if anyone here knows the best solutions. thanks

had that problem before, used Rust Check on my locks (the thicker one, i think its green can), problem gone.
the rust check covers all lock parts like gel and water doesnt get in and freeze.
