'94 civic automatic tranny not moving d15b7 help a brotha out!!
So here is the history, car is a 94 civic with a D15b7 engine and automatic tranny, car belongs to my aunt, the car over heated several times, got cylinder head work done, car drove for about a month after the head was rebuilt then just stop working.
The car turns on, warms up, can put the gears in, but it will not move at all, when you press the gas all it does is rev up.
I can hear a loud buzzing coming from the tranny.
At first start up i put it in reverse and it moved also in drive and it also moved for only a yard or two then stopped.
I changed out the tranny fluid and a massive amout of shaving and thick metal goo drained out.
Also, in the manual it stated the tranny took about 5.6L and i only threw in 3.5L and the dip stick was marknig full.
PLEASE HELP!! Thanks

you might have a broken axle. jack the car in the air and putit in D and see or hear if the tranny shifts. if it does then look for an broken axle

the joint could have broken inside and just spinning inside the boot. just something you wanna check out before replacing transmission

had this same problem in my ford taurus. go figure. im assuming hard driving was not a key to the problem. but a tiny leak or overheating destroys transmissions. if you have AAA, take it to a transmission shop i.e. cottman. its going to be an expensive repair.
but also check the axle as stated before. also, try lower gears to see if it moves.

Ill check the axels to see if they are still good, i can try and take it to amco and diagnos it but im sure that can cost more than a used tranny, i can probably find a used tranny for about $200.
i have tried the lower gear but still does not move, just revs up,
And i did notice that the tranny has cooling lines running to it from the radiator, so with it over heating and all the metal shavings and metal goo in the tranny fluid i think its a tranny issue, anyone else have a suggestion?

the only thing you can do is take it to someone who knows transmissions. shavings are a BAD sign transmissions are a dime a dozen in junkyards so it would be no problem getting a replacement
