Default d16a6 swap, now nothing happens

well, i just finished all the wiring and went to start up the car and nothing. the lights dont turn on or anything. so i swapped battery's and still nothing. the only sign of life the car will give me is the battery light will flicker when the key is in the ignition and brighten when turned to the on position, but thats it. any ideas? could i have the wires on my starter mesed up? not grounded well enough? i have never ran into this problem b4 and need some insite

did you switch to the mpfi ecu? if you didn't that could be your problem and if that be the case (i kind of doubt it would be if you knew to switch to the mpfi harness then you probablly already know) you need the ecu out of car with multi port

yes, i got a pm6 obd0 ecu. another weird thing is the temp gauge will shoot all the way into the hot with key on position. i left the oil pressure switch unplugged now that i think about it but i dont think thats my problem. when i get home ill take some pics
i figure even if i fucked up the wiring, the car should at least turn over and do something.

check all your grounds.. make sure u have a big ground to the frame and one to the motor. stock one is on the cable mount on the trans and on the frame.. unless u got alt wire or starter wire grounded out on itself..

This should solve it. Make sure the engine harness is grounded by the lower radiator coolant outlet tube.

i grounded the car better and now the cel comes on. so does the battery light tho. the ecu flashes 10 times then flashes 20 times....i thought they were supposed to be just a longer blink for ten increments. its sort of getting irritating. this is supposed to be my winter beater and i cnt even drive it in the winter.

check and clean your grounds, should be three that go to the engine. try adding an extra.
