Number 3 and 2 cylinders are dead

Default Number 3 and 2 cylinders are dead

Ok i just bought a 95 honda civic cx. apon charging that batery i got it to start up but its only running on the number 1 and 4 cylinder. the number 3 and 2 are getting spark the cap and wires are in good shape. i cant figure it out and was wounder if you could give me some hints to what it would be. thank you.

Did you check the spark plugs?? Is firing order right? The spark plugs could be fouled but most likly you have dead cylinders=(

also check the internal posts on the distributor cap to see if they are carboned up or broken

Well, once VTEC kicks in it's like you have 8 cylinders. So 8 cylinders minus 2 cylinders means you are still driving a 6 cylinder during VTEC . Any CELS?

Make sure you have 2 and 3 spark plug wires in the right order, meaning they are not swapped on the cap or on the actual plugs &gt; OHM 2 and 3 spark plug wires &gt; Use good known plugs gapped to spec &gt; Compression test cyl 2 and 3 &gt; Use a noid light to test 2 and 3 injectors &gt; Hook a fuel pressure gauge and do an injector test on 2 and 3. This simple flow chart should do something for you.

ya we checked the compression and fuel pressure and all seemed fine so i bought a d16y7 block with a v-tech head and just gonna swap it into their. and i got a real good deal on it so thanks for the advice. and have a good day.
