tranny wont go into gear?
whats going on guys. i have a problem, i went out last night to have a little fun in the snow
, and i stop the car and all of a sudden my tranny wont let me go into any gear. i turn the car off and the tranny goes into gear but when i go to start the car it starts to roll and wont go into gear again... any ideas? thanks

It was a ton of fun until the car decide to crap out on me. It was just a beater, so I smashed the gears til I got home.
OP: Anytime you are having trouble with the tranny, the first thing to check is fluid level/age.

not too convenient to chekc fluid level on manual when ur in the snow... unless there is some kinda manual tranny dipstick kit i dont know about, if thats the case PLEASE F-ING TELL ME.
Anyway, if u have some space infront of you or behind you, with the car off, put it in gear, then clutch in and try to start, if it moves its a clutch issue, not sure about car codes, so i dont know if EG is cable or hydraulic clutch..

i took advice and checked for any eaks and so far so good, picking up a new clutch soon hopefully that will fix the problem
