Default p08 ecu into 92-95 civic.

I swapped my blown d16z6 a while back for a jdm d15b (sohc vtec) and its not as responsive as it should be I was going to just chip the usdm p28 ecu to jdm specs but I figured why not just change out the ecu for the jdm p08 ecu which is tuned to that motor. Only thing I'm worried about is that the jdm motor used a single wire o2 sensor and the usdm p28 uses a 4wire o2 If I drop in a p08 will I get a cel light for o2 sensor if I leave the 4 wire in there? I still have the 1 wire o2 but the connector is different would it be just a simple splice so the p08 ecu can recognize the 1 wire o2? or would I end up having to do a bunch of wiring? Is there anything else I'm going to run into with this ecu? Thanks- ejoner

its probably cheaper to get the p28 chipped with a base map of the po8.. IMO thats what i would do

I did a mini-me swap..b7 block, D15b VTEC head, and I had my p06 chipped to p08 so it matched my head.. that probably dosent matter to u but u asked if anyone was running p08's.

I'm rocking a P08 on a 98 Hatch w/ a D15b, Y8 IM, 4 wire O2... No Cel's... ran okay til I went turbo... now on the same JDM ecu and the Greddy "Gay-Blue" box... runs worse! Prior to that... it was just a sohc vtec 1.5 banger... I guess for what it is it's okay... My Turbo 96 coupe had a D15b, Po6 chipped by Kenji w/ a ODB2a to ODB1 Rywire conversion harness and emanage blue... it ran like a champ til they stole it RIP!

i have a 95 ex, stock as hell dd. its got a p08 in it w/ 4 wire o2. it cranks, stutters for about a second then runs like a champ after that. no cels. it actually felt a little peppier than with the p28 when i first put it in.
