Default Help with remote start, can't find my answer anywhere

Hello All,

I'm looking for a write up or wiring code or something to help with the installation of a remote car starter. I've been looking for a write up but nothing.... Are there instructions out there? I will be installing it on a 91 civic si.

Thanks in advance

i figure it will come with the wires marked or something, but i was really hoping that someone did a write up with locations of the wires and colour code for the car. I've installed one previously on a different car and found some really good write ups with pictures. Great help.

Thanks for the help

easy way is with a test light or a multi meter or
12v = white/black
ign = black/yellow
acc = yellow
2nd acc = blue/white
starter = black/white
all wires in ignition harness
tach = blue ( at coil or harness at driver side strut )
brake = green/white (at switch at brake pedal)

that is all you need for a basic install oh and ground but that is easy enough

THANKS, do you know if these wire are easy enough to spot or do i have to dig into the dash a bit? Is the wiring harness just under the dash? fairly visible?

extreamly accessible, drop the fuse cover and they will be right there at the base of the steering column by the fuse box in black loom

its the blue wire that goes directly into the distributor on the head. trace it back or tap into it there if u want. go to http://64.85.6.121/diagrams/pr...eID=3 .. its all u need

Default 91 civic si auto start install

Hello again,

So this weekend i tried to install my auto start. I installed all the required wired, as stated above, but when i tried to start it, nothing happend.

I programed my remote and when i hit the lock and unlock i can hear the box relay click so i know i got it programmed.

So i'm going to check my box and test my box making sure its trying to start (sending output power). Now my question, There is a 4th wire in the ignition harness, white/red, does anyone know what this is. It gets power with the acc. I did not tough this wire. Could that be my problem??

Well I got it to start, I had to read the instructions........ To start the car i had to push the button twice. Anyways i apreciate all the help. I still have a few more wires to find maybe someone out there who did and install know where to find the wires (or a better place to find them)

I still need to find the door switch. I know its in the centre pillar but i cant get to it. I tried looking along the drivers kick panel but couldn't find it there.

An i would like to hook up the lights, but i wanted to verify first. My autostart sends out a (-) output, I think the head lights use (+) so i can't do it unless i am incorrect?
