im lookin to spend about a grand this month on my motor but looking for the best way to do it any suggestions....i was thinking of just either peicing a turbo kit together or type r cams and a port and polish job
Do you have any goals? or you just want to "go fast?"
A little more detail about what you like or would like to achieve would help. I'd hate to steer you down a path you wouldn't like simply because I lack key information in YOUR decision making process.

i mean yea i wana shave some time of my 1/4 mile but im still in skool and im only tryna spend a grand on my motor rite now im just lookin for ppl's suggestions see if i can get any ideas or what other ppl would do if they were in my place
My opinion: Save your money.
Your in school, there's way more important things to focus on than how fast your car goes.
I'm a fellow student, and I know how it feels. If you want to budget your car build, all that it going to happen is you becoming unhappy with your build.
Save up and do it right the first time, that's my approach.

Sounds like a plan. Buy a quality turbo, some other parts, and buy as you go.
You'll end up with a nice kit in no time.
