i would do a fully built, all motor, built the internals first, and see how you like it

Do you have any goals? or you just want to "go fast?"

A little more detail about what you like or would like to achieve would help. I'd hate to steer you down a path you wouldn't like simply because I lack key information in YOUR decision making process.

My opinion: Save your money.

Your in school, there's way more important things to focus on than how fast your car goes.

I'm a fellow student, and I know how it feels. If you want to budget your car build, all that it going to happen is you becoming unhappy with your build.

Save up and do it right the first time, that's my approach.

Sounds like a plan. Buy a quality turbo, some other parts, and buy as you go.

You'll end up with a nice kit in no time.

Turbo and college? NA would be more reliable and best for a college kid. I know turbo's can be reliable too, but NA is easily reliable. My .02

Get some CTR cams and get them dyno tuned. That's good for a 10-15whp gain (dyno tuned, not just throwin there).
