no, he's giving you a suggestion on what to use, you can get this at home depot.


i dont know how well that would work though, its best for removing glues, sap, etc.

Take sandpaper, 400 grit would be alright, and sand away on a spot until you get through the primer. Be sure to keep the surface wet as you sand it. It would be a lot of work to sand off all the primer, but I'd give it a shot.

Yea but he'd still have to re-paint it. I believe he's tryin to find out if he can take it off without respraying the parts.

It depends, you dont know for sure that real paint is under there but laquer thinner is your best bet.

seems to me that the original owner was probably going to to have it repainted, thus using primer before the paint. this means 2 things. the paint on the bottom was messed up, faded so they wanted reshoot it, 2nd, maybe the hood is a different color, so they wanted to paint it to match the car? so if you do this, and you get a red, or yellow hood then what? you'er gonna end up primering it again? lol
