Default 4th gear whines after tune?

So i went and got tuned, made pretty good power, and now im just enjoying my car. But i have noticed that 4th gear now whines when im barely on the gas. I thought it may of been my turbo spooling up, but it only does it in 4th. There is also a ticking coming from the engine bay, I know its not my motor because i can sit there and rev all day, and you cant hear it in or outside of the car. But as soon as i put it into gear and start going you can hear it..

Is my tranny bad?

Bad motor mounts? how? 1 is aftermarket and the rest have inserts.

how much power we talkin here and what trans? it honestly sounds like you broke a tooth off a gear, i had a similar thing happen to me. one day just started making a whining noise then it got worse and worse till the tranny grenaded.. my advice is to pull the tranny and and split the cases and give it a thourough once over.

also get rid of that stock diff thats a ticking time bomb at those powerlevels

yeah, the diff. is on its way out. There was just an inside bet with my friends, they said it would shatter on the dyno so i have to prove them wrong. But ill probably do all that at once.

well see thats what was wierd to me, it goes into gear just fine, it pulls just fine, i mean the car is running and pulling great other than that ticking (which almost sounds like and exhaust leak), and the whineing.

yeah thats how it starts.. that first little chip doesn't do much till it gets stuck between another set of gears while your driving.. then then it just keeps geting progressivly worse the more pieces you have floating around in your tranny. i drove on mine for about a month before it completely locked up it just kept sounding worse and worse each day!
