1990 Integra ABS Nightmare!
Hello there, I am the proud owner of a 1990 Integra GS 4dr (DB1). I however have a problem, or should I say my teggy has a problem. Everytime I take off from a dead stop my ABS accumulator makes this LOUD chirping noise acompanied by a loud whine. Now its not just when I take off its almost every 5 seconds while in motion at any given speed from 5mph to 65mph! Slowing down, pressing the brake, in neutral, in gear none of that matters it does it on all occasions. It is very loud and embarrasing. I also have no ABS light on, indicating some sort of malfunction, I still havent checked the ABS control module for any codes however. Yesterday I lifted my and left it on in gear while the driver's wheel spun freely the passenger however spun slower, I know that my front pass caliper slightly drags, I will be rebuilding all my calipers shortly. I also noticed when I stopped the driver wheel the pass wheel began to spin normally, when i stopped the drivers wheel the chiping continued, it didn't matter which wheel I stopped the chirping would just not go away, could it be a bad wheel speed sensor? or maybe a bad accumulator? or perhaps a bad reservoir solenoid pack? I really want to keep my ABS feature, I also dont want to throw parts at it. Has anyone experienced this before? Anyone know the solution? Here is the pic of the noisy accumulator. Its number 11. Please someone help

The motor runs continuously due to an internal leak, pressure leak that is, I recommend getting an entire CLEAN looking ABS assy from a used car and change the whole entire unit.
Make sure there are no wet seeps on the used unit and keep yours for spares if ever needed.
Your FWD is not posi trac so both tires do not spin at the same speed nor does both wheels need to turn at all, one would be ok, dont blame the one side on a dragging caliper, make sure first. Rebuilding them is a good preventive maintenance idea anyways but is it really needed due to one dragging, probably not.

Replace all the heavy metal items, yes, everything up under the hood, nothing down at the wheels. Keep the old stuff for spares or tear into them and see how they work.
Honda is not sophisticated like GM so you do not need a scanner to bleed, just bleed like a normal car although there may be some bleed ports on the ABS unit. I would recommend looking at Autozone for a rental vacuum pump or and hand vacuum pump or a one man brake bleeder setup.
I also would not rule our cracking lines as you go along to bleed in sections and while assembling let it gravity bleed also to allow fluid to backfill while it is all going together, I think some form of a vacuum bleeder will work best, you wont have a brake pedal for some time I think, pumping the old fashioned way may take a long time.............

After searching all over junk-yards all over this town i just couldnt find any at all, the little integras that I found didn't have abs. So out of curiosity I tried ebay, walah! there it was $85 buy it now, hell yeah I went for it, I know the price wasnt way cheap but its not too bad considering the dealer has it for about 1g. Ok guys so I installed my "new" abs alb unit yesterday and.....wwaaalaahh the chirping went away!!!! No more loud chirping from the abs pump, and my abs works great!
I own a 92 gsr... same damn noise, comes on whenever it damn pleases, really pisses me off actually. It could be your ICU unit. I did a lot of research on G2IC. You could read up on it there.
Hope it helps
