Discovered that my knock sensor is slightly broken. The clip still hangs on to the sensor, but its cracked in the middle and at a slight angle. I have no CELs. Does this mean the sensor is still good?

 

It's probably pulling timing, even though you don't have a cel.

 

If you have no CEL the unit (KNS) is still working, assuming you have the correct ECU.

 

A while back many of Prelude owners were experiencing massive hesitation problems without a cel. After many tries, a new knock sensor fixed the problem. How do you know it's not malfunctioning within the operating range?

H22's and their ECU's are very different animals.

 

I would suppose its working fine since it still pulls hard and no CEL, but the best assurance would be to replace it. Thank you guys for the help.
