boosted f22b vs boosted h22a? This is not a repost! I cannot find another through search.
Ok, so, I think I want to keep my f22 and boost it as I hear that it owns boost. But I just want hear exact numbers or just some more information on this. Is it true? Is a boosted built f22b going to beat an h22?
My question is, which will handle boost better? The h22 block, or the f22 block? I think the obvious answer is the h22.

oh and if you can find an actual thread that is this exact question already answer I am sorry. I couldnt find one, through a good 10 minutes of searching.
either motor fully built will be able to hold boost pretty well. Im sure the H22 built will out run the F22 only that it is a dohc vs sohc and the dohc will flow more through the head. You are though spending much more on the H22. I say take that F22 and boost the hell out of it. It has low compretion. I believe the blocks are very similar. The heads are where they differ.
ok see thats the kind of answer I was looking for. So yeah the h22 is a lot more expensive but it's probably just worth it to just boost my f22 and enjoy it while I can right? I have 150k on it though.
do a compression check. Look over your engine. Is it burning oil? Is it leaking oil? Hows the compression? Is it the same + or -10 across all 4 cylinders? If its in good condition then sure why not boost it. The motor is inexpensive to change out. If you want to blow it up boost high, if not keep it modest, build the motor up and boost high.
i have 177 on my B18C1 motor and Its going to be boosted on Sunday. 7psi and not gonna try to run it into the ground. So im sure you can boost yours.

Anyway, compression is probably going to be good. I will run a few tests soon. It is not leaking oil no. I pulled the plugs out a while back (stock plugs) to replace them and they werent even black.
look into a f series vtec head. I have a h23 and im selling the motor cause buy the time i swap it in my accord and the turbo it i will see the same #'s as a stock h22. Also get on cb7tuner.com. There is alot of info on there. plus if you sleeve a f22 and build the bottom end on a f22 vtec and port the head you could make some power. Just look at d-series motors. They to where the junk motor of its time know look you can get a d-series drop out for under 500.00 in good shape......p.s what manifold are you going to run
