Head studs, ARP vs Golden Eagle
I changed my head gasket and reused the stock bolts and now a few months down the road the corner of the head is leaking oil. My guess is the stock head bolts stretched so i am looking for aftermarket reusable ones. Would i be better off with ARP or Golden eagle? i dont have experience with either but have known of ARP. Is one better then the other?
Our shop uses ARP in any performance engines we build (including my own GS-R)...we've yet to have an issue.
Never used Golden Eagle before, so I'm not too sure on that one.

ARP is deff the more popular of the two simply because they have been in the industry longer. That being said, there is nothing wrong with Golden Eagle headstuds. I have used both ARP and golden eagle headstuds in my swaps that include (gs-r) and (ls/vtec). Also, I have used an ls/vtec conversion kit from golden eagle, so I know that they do make some quality parts. For me, I guess it just comes down to price. I'm pretty sure that you are going to pay more for ARP then Golden Eagle. I suppose it just depends on your spending budget.
